The Blacksburg Postal Service has conducted a food drive for our benefit for several years. This year's food drive collection will be on Saturday May 10th. Last year's food drive was over three thousand pounds of food!
We are looking for experienced sorters that would be willing to provide direction to our sorting teams. While the process seems to be intuitive, it can be overwhelming to volunteers that have not been part of a sorting team before. Would you like to share your best practices with some new volunteers? The better the instruction, the better the result!
We are asking for the supervisors to be willing to open up the pantry prior to the shift, instruct the sorting teams on the process and be available by phone for questions. It is not necessary that you be there for the entire shift.
