Call for Volunteers: Help the Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry at Steppin' Out 2025!
Are you looking for a fun and impactful way to give back to your community this summer? The Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry needs your help at the Steppin' Out 2025 festival!
We're seeking enthusiastic volunteers to staff our booth and help us connect with festival-goers. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a vital local organization while enjoying the lively atmosphere of Steppin' Out.
What You'll Be Doing:
Serving Refreshments: Handing out complimentary water and lemonade to thirsty festival attendees.
Answering Questions: Being a friendly face and providing basic information about the Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry – who we serve, what we do, and how we help address food insecurity in Blacksburg and McCoy. (Don't worry, we'll provide you with all the key talking points!)
When & Where:
Steppin' Out 2025 takes place on Friday, August 1st, and Saturday, August 2nd, from 10 AM to 10 PM each day. Our booth will be located under a pop-up tent on the lawn of 105 E Roanoke Street (home of QCowork) in downtown Blacksburg. We will be staffing our booth only from 12 PM to 6 PM.
We're looking for volunteers to fill shifts throughout both days. We are flexible and appreciate any time you can offer!
