Civic Outreach Team
The Blacksburg Food Pantry is seeking a small, dedicated team of volunteers to help us strengthen our relationships with local civic organizations. If you're passionate about community, have a knack for communication, and want to make a tangible difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
We're looking for individuals to join our new Civic Outreach Team. This team will focus on two vital areas:
● Showing Our Gratitude: Develop and implement creative ways to express our sincere appreciation to the many civic organizations that generously support the Blacksburg Food Pantry. This is a chance to truly acknowledge their invaluable contributions.
● Keeping Them Informed & Engaged: Create and execute a plan to regularly update these organizations on the critical issues facing the food pantry and the impact their support has. This team will also be responsible for offering to provide a speaker (not be the speaker) for their meetings and explore innovative ways to deepen their involvement beyond financial donations.
This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your organizational and communication skills while directly contributing to the well-being of our community. Your efforts will help us build stronger partnerships and ensure the Blacksburg Food Pantry can continue its vital work.
